Schneider Haus National Historic Site and MCC Host a Relief Kit Packing Event

Schneider Haus National Historic Site, in partnership with the Mennonite Central Committee, is hosting a relief kit packing event in recognition of World Refugee Day. In this Facebook video, learn about how the Schneider’s, a Pennsylvania German Mennonite family, practiced their beliefs of compassion and charity in the 1800s, and how the MCC supports refugees throughout the world today. Schneider Haus staff demonstrate how to pack a hygiene relief kit, and explain why this is important for families and individuals currently living in refugee camps.

Complete or partially completed kits can be dropped at the MCC’s donation doors at 50 Kent Avenue, Kitchener on June 22 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
